There were only fifteen seconds left in the soccer game. Dozens of people in the stands were anxiously awaiting the final score, many supporting their favorite team, and others booing the opposing team. I spotted Christopher in the middle of the field, preparing to catch the pass Josh was about to throw to him.

As soon as the leather ball landed in his hands, Christopher began a sprint across the field at a speed that left many with their mouths agape. He dodged every player who tried to get in his way and finally made it to the end zone. Hundreds of boys and girls erupted in cheers and applause.

The Bicentennial Falcons had won the championship.
I took advantage of the commotion to sneak past the players to Christopher, who had removed his helmet from his head and was running a hand through his messy and now wet golden hair. I almost gasped. The team apparel consisted of a black jersey and white shorts. What was it about the soccer uniform that made the boys look incredibly irresistible? Would it be the shoulder pads?

When his green eyes met mine, a smile spread across his face. Without a second thought, I hung on his neck and stamped our mouths in a warm kiss.

“Is this your way of congratulating me on winning the game?

Two hours later, I looked at my reflection in the oval mirror in my room and smiled pleased with the result. The dress I had reserved for that night, was a gorgeous carmine red, with delicate golden straps that set off the pale skin of my shoulders The soft, tight fabric reached halfway down my thighs, fiercely flaunting the curves of my body. I combed my blonde hair behind my ears and matched a pair of golden shoes with my dress.

I had no doubt, Christopher would go crazy when he saw me, but…. was I sure I wanted to do that with him after the party? I mean, Christopher and I had been a couple for over a year and a half now, so it was normal that after all that time, he would like to take another step in our relationship. The problem was that I didn’t feel ready.

I took a big breath of oxygen and decided it was time to appear at the party.
Vicky’s house was a two-story house. Her parents were away in Mexico, so she had taken the opportunity to do her thing. The moment I arrived at the house, I first noticed a bunch of cars parked all over the sidewalk, teenagers getting drunk in the front yard, and loud music coming from inside.

Vicky’s parties were famous for being the most outrageous, but also the most fun. They always ended with some kind of drama.

Both Chad and Josh were very attractive. They were both on the school soccer team, so they were both tall, stocky, and had muscles everywhere. Those two were the most popular guys in the entire high school, and they were also Chris’s best friends.

“Chad is Megan right, you do look gorgeous ” smiled

After watching Lexie disappear among the guests, I grabbed a red glass from the drink bar and took a quick sip. I immediately shuddered as I felt a sharp burning in my throat. Woah, what was in those glasses, vodka? After taking a second sip, my head started spinning. Yep, my tolerance for alcohol was not very high, to say the least.

“Hi Megan, very sexy tea time this afternoon ” exclaimed a guy next to me, trying to get closer.
I ignored his comment and started moving through the guests, looking at myself. forced to push a few bodies to make my way through. When I visualized Josh among the crew, I approached him ready to ask about Chris’ whereabouts. I hadn’t seen him anywhere since I arrived. “Have you seen Chris?” I asked him over the music.
